INSCRIPTIONS OF MINORS
Many of the students of OnSpain are minors, that means under 18 years old. For these students we need a permit signed by their parents or legal guardians. Only with this permit the minors are allowed to travel and study with us.
The full course fee must be paid before arrival.
The application will only be accepted following a minimum non-refundable prepayment of €150, of which will be deducted from the total fee. We accept the following payment methods:
Account Name: SCHOOL BRIO, S.L.
Bank Name: BBVA
Address: Av. Juan Sebastián Elcano, 154, 29017 Málaga
SWIFT/BIC Code: BBVAESMMXXX
IBAN: ES97 0182 3368 5602 0163 8897
In case of having credit for the completion of a course, it will not be transferrable.
The registration fee for groups will be a 30% of the total, to be paid the day of enrollment, and the remaining 70% a month before the beginning of the course. For acceptance of this quote, the proof of payment has to be sent to our email: [email protected]
Participants will receive all the necessary arrival information once they have received the course confirmation and paid the 150 € deposit.
For those who need a travel visa in order to attend the course, OnSpain will be able to provide them with a confirmation letter. If you require this service please ensure that you have:
For minors, we also require you to send the signed Parental Authorization Form and a photocopy of the passport of the parent or guardian whose signature appears on the authorization.
Should the application for a travel visa be refused, the school will need a copy of the official letter of refusal for any refund to be made (see Cancellation Conditions).
The registration fee may be higher than the standard fee for students applying for a visa. Also, in case of refusal, the amount of the administration expenses may be withheld (see Cancellation Conditions).
Please note that Spanish Working Law states that holidays falling on Sundays will be celebrated on the following Monday.
When two Bank Holidays fall in the same week, only one will be taken.
The school provides the participants with all the necessary teaching material for the course: books, complementary material, but not dictionaries. For the teaching material, individual participant has to pay approximately 25€ for the grammar book. For groups the teaching material is included in the price of the course.
Upon registering with OnSpain students agree to attend a minimum of 70% of the course. In the event that students fail to do so they may not be awarded a certificate at the conclusion of the course.
Students are required to arrive punctually to their classes. If a student arrives more than 15 minutes after the start time of the class that student will be denied entry to the class and will lose that lesson.
The minimum stay for the course (except for individual lessons) and for the place of accommodation is 1 week. The later arrival or earlier departure according to the dates confirmed by the school does not imply any discount or refund on the price of the stay.
The week begins on the Sunday before the start of the course, and ends on the following Saturday. Any arrival before or departure after, as previously listed, must be made clear to the school and the extra nights must be paid for. (Prices depend on the type of accommodation).
The check-in will be between 4 and 11 p.m. If for any reason, the student cannot arrive at the accommodation before 11 pm., they will have to plan their own accommodation for that night.
The check-out will be at 11 a.m. There is the possibility of allowing a later departure time. Additional amounts may apply, please ask about any such charge.
All the relevant information regarding accommodation will be sent to the participant prior to the arrival date. We will only send the email only after having received the entire payment for the accommodation.
OnSpain reserves the right to impose a deposit of €150 to access the accommodation, which will be paid prior to arrival, and will be returned in the same payment method within a maximum period of 15 days after departure, once the accommodation has been inspected. The amount to be returned may be reduced depending on the damage caused or in the event of non-delivery of the key.
OnSpain reserves the right to change student accommodations at any time.
Host family accommodation is normally up to 30 minutes maximum walking distance from the school. It is a unsupervised journey.
Cancellations must be made in writing (email) to be effective. Our Cancellation Conditions are as follows:
Our group classes consist of a minimum number of 3 students. In the event that on the first day of the course there are not 3 students, OnSpain will offer the student a reduced quantity of hours of private classes (max. 2 pers.). Those private classes will not come at an extra cost, although they are more valuable than the group classes. The student will be informed on the first day of class.
In the event of cancellations of private classes one to one, the student agrees to inform the school at least 24 hours in advance. In case of a cancellation for a class directly after a weekend or a holiday period, the student must notify the school by the previous school day. If the student informs OnSpain on time, he is entitled to recover the class within the booked period. If not, the student will lose the possibility of recovering the class.
CHANGE OF COURSE AND/OR ACCOMMODATION
Any change to a confirmed reservation, before or after the starting date of the course and/or accommodation, will incur a cost of €75 for administrative expenses, and will always be subject to availability at the school.
Changes in the course and/or accommodation dates will not be allowed in the case of students who have been granted a visa.
EXTENSION OF STAY
If participants wish to extend the length of their course or attend a different one, it will only be possible if there are spaces available. The same conditions apply to accommodation. For this reason it is important that the school receives this information at least 1 week before the end of the first course.
We will provide the participants with all necessary information regarding any complementary courses such as guitar, windsurfing, flamenco, scuba diving, etc. which they may wish to participate in. We will also act as intermediary if required. But WE WILL NOT assume any responsibility for these courses, as these activities are not based in our school.
