Learn Spanish regardless your level
At OnSpain School you can learn Spanish regardless of your level defined in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
I can understand familiar words and very basic phrases concerning myself, my family and immediate concrete surroundings when people speak slowly and clearly.
I can understand phrases and the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local area, employment). I can catch the main point in short, clear, simple messages and announcements.
I can understand the main points of clear standard speech on familiar matters regularly encountered in work, school, leisure, etc. I can understand the main point of many radio or TV programmes on current affairs or topics of personal or professional interest when the delivery is relatively slow and clear.
I can understand extended speech and lectures and follow even complex lines of argument provided the topic is reasonably familiar. I can understand most news and current affairs programs on television. I can understand television programmes and films without too much effort.
I can understand extended speech even when it is not clearly structured and when relationships are only implied and not signaled explicitly. I can understand without too much effort television programs and films without too much effort.
I can easily understand spoken language, in any form whatsoever, either in direct contact or through radio or broadcasts, even when delivered at a fast native speed, provided I have some time to get familiar with the accent.
You can try our online level test that will give you a rough idea of your Spanish level defined by the Common European Framework.
Furthermore, you will make another Spanish test the first day of your course to make sure you enter the class with the correct level.
The content of all OnSpain School courses are designed according to the instructions of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages 2001 and the Curriculum Plan of the Cervantes Institute 2007.
The schedule depends on the type of course you choose and the Spanish level you have. Classes will be held in the mornings or afternoons from Monday to Friday. The Spanish Intensive Course (20 hours/week) corresponds to the following scheme:
9:30 – 11:20
11:20 – 11:40
11:40 – 13:30
Conversation and composition class
You will also make a level test the first Monday of your Spanish course. In case of the Spanish Intensive Course, this will be at 8:30 am before the start of the class.
In your free time, you are welcome to participate in the activities included in the course fee and other optional cultural visits.
At the end of each week, you will have to do a test tailored to your level of Spanish. The results will give you idea of your progress.
The final classification depends on 51% of these tests, 25% of the tasks performed and 24% of participation and class attendance.
At the end of the course, OnSpain ceremoniously presents you a certificate containing information on your level of Spanish, the type of course you have taken and the duration. An assistance of at least 80% of classes is necessary to receive this certificate. If you are interested in reaching an internationally recognized qualification, we recommend you to take a DELE exam (Diploma of Spanish as a Foreign Language).
